Some job responsibilities include:

• Maintain accurate receipts of sales

• Follow up on all prospects

• Conduct gym tours and membership presentations

• Maintain lead boxes in the community on a weekly basis

• Actively obtain referrals from existing memberships

• Attend community events to prospect for new members

• Visit area businesses to encourage group membership

• Consult with appointments, walk-ins and info calls to learn their fitness goals

• Support current and new members in reaching their fitness goals

• Develop and maintain relationships with current members on a day to day basis

• Exhibit excellent customer service skills, be outgoing, motivational and friendly

• Effectively deal with the pressure of meeting membership quotas

• Promote a positive club image at all times inside and outside of the club

• Act in a professional manner when interacting with other staff members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, sales experience or business-related coursework a plus.

• Active lifestyle preferred.

• The membership specialist reports directly to the general manager.

• Compensation consists of salary commissions and the potential to earn bonuses
